No Burger King....Really, No Burger King

Well, friends I finally have time to indulge on my South Korea experience. Yes, orientation week is over and I have been spoiled enough. Now, its on to the hard life realizing that 80% of people around me don't know english, 95% of people are not comfortable speaking english, and 99.9% of people can not understand how I speak English.

Anyway, let me tell you about my Burger King experience, my oh my. Me and my boy, Mike, decided to hit up the Burger King. After walking around Seoul lost, we stopped by the tourist information place and got directions to a Burger King.

We decided to go into Burger King and order. Mike orders a bacon double cheeseburger and then I followed suit. Except for one thing, the girl tells me they don't have a BACON DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER!!! So, I said what about a whopper. She then tells me they don't have a WHOPPER!!! Throwing hands up in digust and walking in a circle, the girl probably thought I was some crazy foreigner, I decided to leave.

As we walked away I couldn't believe burger king didn't have burgers. I was speechless. Not beacuse the Korean Burger King didn't have burgers but because this same stuff happens at home in the MD. I was like, this crap can't be universal but it is. When I am at home, the KFC is out of chicken, the Wendy's is out of fries, and McDonald's never have milkshakes.

That night, I realize South Korea and the US had more in common than I thought. At least I know that no matter where in the world I am, a fast food place can screw you over.

And yet, I will still support these places as I decided to turn around and order some chicken tenders from that Korean Burger King that same night.
